Defamation cases can’t stop us: Stalin after appearing in city court
DMK president MK Stalin on Wednesday said the defamation cases foisted by the AIADMK regime led by Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami cannot stop his party from discharging its democratic duty.

Stalin, who appeared before the city court in connection with six defamation cases booked against him by the state government, said the cases have been booked despite the Madras High Court quashing several defamation cases against him and advising the government. Stating that it was the prime responsibility of an opposition party to criticize the mistakes and corruption of the ruling party, the DMK president said the DMK cannot be stopped or threatened from discharging its democratic duty by booking such cases.
Leader of Opposition said that Chief Minister Palaniswami cannot stop the DMK’s right to speak by booking any number of cases. “I will face the defamation cases booked against me legally. I will visit every village and expose the corruption of the AIADMK regime,” said the DMK chief, accompanied by a battery of party lawyers at the city court.
