Addressing party men in Arachalur in Modakurichi Union on Thursday, the BJP leader said, DMK president MK Stalin, who by opposing farm laws, is indirectly supporting the middlemen in the sector.
“These laws help farmers to fix the price on their own for the produce. But, by abolishing middle men, the money will go straight into the hands of the farmers. However, Stalin has been spreading misinformation about the laws,” Murugan said.
Stating that the DMK, which has been working against the welfare of people, should be taught a befitting lesson in the ensuing Assembly polls, Murugan said that BJP has been growing strongly in Tamil Nadu.
“The growth of BJP could not be accepted by Stalin. Not only in farm laws, has the DMK been adopting double standards even on religious matters,” he said. The BJP leader also accused Stalin of having supported the ‘Karuppar Kootam’ involved in denigrating Kanda Shasti Kavasam.
