As incessant rain lashed Chennai since Monday evening, several parts of the city were flooded with rainwater causing hardships to residents on Tuesday.Â
The overnight spells led to inundation in many low lying areas in the city like Velachery, Madipakkam, Saidapet, KK Nagar, Adambakkam, Anna Nagar, Kodungaiyur, Vysarpadi, Perambur, Purasaiwalkam, Kellys and suburbs surrounding Tambaram.

Despite heavy rainfall, MTC buses continued to ply from waterlogged Mandaveli bus depot on Tuesday. Incessant showers have caused flooding in several parts of Chennai.
