Full HRA for staff on maternity leave
The state govt issued a Government Order (GO) to issue House Rent Allowance (HRA) for all 12 months for women government employees going on maternity leave.

After the DMK came to power the existing maternity leave of nine months was increased to 12 months for women govt employees, but however, the HRA was provided only for six months. There were demands from the government employees to provide HRA for the entire 12 months.
