New Covid cases rise to 23 in TN, city has 12
Tamil Nadu reported 23 new cases of Covid. Over 34.53 lakh cases have been reported in the state so far.
Chennai: With a small surge in the cases, Chennai recorded 12 new Covid cases and Chengalpattu had six cases on Saturday.
After 14,044 samples were tested in the past 24 hours, the test positivity rate across the State stands at 0.1 per cent. TPR in Chennai and The Nilgiris stands at 0.5 per cent Currently, there are 225 active cases of Covid, with Chennai recording 93 cases.
In Tamil Nadu, 26 people were discharged from several hospitals, taking total recoveries to 34,14,983. No deaths were reported in the State. The death toll stands at 38,025.
