    TIRUCHY: Three boys who played with the stocked firecrackers sustained injuries in Mayiladuthurai on Saturday. It is said, Murugan (35), a resident from Thiruvalangadu village in Mayiladuthurai had stocked the excess fire crackers that he bought last Deepavali festival at his house. On Saturday, Murugan’s son Yugendran (12), Murugan’s nephews Pradeesh (13) and Mohit (7), who found the stocked fire crackers took them out and started playing with it. Suddenly, the fire flakes fell onto one of the crackers in the box and soon, all the crackers started bursting and the boys got trapped amidst the fire and sustained severe burn injuries. Soon, the elders put off the fire and rescued them and rushed them to the Mayiladuthurai GH. The doctors gave first aid and referred them to the Thanjavur Medical College Hospital where they are undergoing treatment.
