36 dists record less than 20 Covid case
A total of 358 more people were discharged following treatment across the State, taking the total recoveries in the State to 35,46,178. The state recorded no deaths due to COVID-19 and the death toll stood at 38,048.
CHENNAI: The cases of COVID-19 in Tamil Nadu stood at 292 cases on Friday. The total number of COVID-19 cases reached 35,88,449 in the State.
Chennai recorded 72 cases of COVID-19, witnessing a slight decline in the cases during the weekend. Chengalpattu recorded 24 cases, while other districts had cases less than 20.
The State saw an overall positivity rate of 2.5 per cent after 11,728 samples were tested for COVID-19 in the State. The highest TPR of 4.2 per cent was recorded in Kancheepuram and Krishnagiri. The active cases of COVID-19 in the State stood at 4,223 with Chennai reporting the highest with 2,183 active cases.
