Musk says 'sorry' for Twitter taking up much space on phones

Musk shared a screenshot where the Twitter app was seen taking 9.52GB space on a phone.

It could be an effort to reduce the chances of scams and impersonator accounts.

He made the announcement through a tweet. Elon Musk stated that Twitter might use different colour checks for organizations and individuals.

At a meeting with employees, Musk also claimed that Twitter is now actively hiring for positions in engineering and sales, reports The Verge.

Several users expressed their thoughts on Musk's decision.

Musk had asked the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to probe whether the platform’s claim on the number of its user base is true.

Taking to Twitter, Musk said, "What really happened with the Hunter Biden story suppression by Twitter will be published on Twitter at 5 pm ET!"

Twitter’s new boss is also working on “purging a lot” of spam/scam accounts.
