    Many people believed this information to be true and are sharing the election schedule on social media. The viral post stated that polling will begin on October 15 and vote counting will take place on October 19 in Maharashtra.

    The Election Commission of India has not released the Maharashtra election date yet. The dates mentioned in the viral post turns out to be dates that were announced during the 2014 legislative elections in the state.

    There has been no announcement of the 2019 Maharashtra election dates on the Central Election Commission website and their official Twitter page. However, it is reported that the announcement of the assembly elections will soon be announced for the state of Maharashtra.
