The viral post stated that abrogation of Article 370 in Kashmir is the reason for the pigeons’ death. It also stated that the photos were taken at the Jamia Mosque in Srinagar.

The post further added, the tension caused by the removal of Article 370 in Kashmir has led to a shortage of food for the birds.

On verifying the authenticity of this post, it was found that the photo was taken on February 7, 2012. One of the photos was taken by Vasari Wasir Jamia, a Malaysian photojournalist, at a mosque.
