Harish Kalyan talks to us in the middle of composing tunes at his residence in the city. “In the beginning, there was a lot of panic and hype along with a lot of restrictions. After a couple of months, we got used to it. However, there are a lot of things that I personally learnt during this time. We all lived a fast-paced life with weekday and weekend routines. This is the best time to realise that our identities are beyond our professions and fame. It was all about being a good human being and realising how basic things are enough for a content life,” he begins.

The actor, who was last seen in Dhaarala Prabhu says that this pandemic created a room for people to learn alternative things in life. “I wasn’t someone who knew cooking or thought about it seriously. I was keen to learn cooking in the last few months. My mom is passionate about baking and I have now learnt it from her and even made brownies,” he says.

Apart from this, the actor says that he took a plunge into music as well. “I wanted to concentrate on music and built a small setup for me to explore music. I used to play keyboard and in between, I didn’t have time to. Of late, I am back to playing it. I was always into music.” Harish like any other Indian youngster is a follower of cricket. “I am a huge fan of Sachin Tendulkar, who is like god to me. I have been catching up with the highlights of his best innings,” he smiles. Regardless of the genres, he works on, Harish is called the chocolate boy by his female fans. Hence, keeping fit has been on the top of his to-do list. “Initially I was walking and doing weight training to maintain my fitness levels. A close friend of mine introduced me to yoga and it has done wonders to me ever since I started practising. I am in love with it,” he adds.

Talking about his work post lockdown, the actor sums it up in one word. “Clueless,” he says. “We don’t know when the industry will be back to normal. It is going to take some time for us to get back to routine and for things like economy and shoots to fall in place,” he concludes.
