There is a possibility that the professors, cited by the deceased student as the reason for her death, will also ‘commit suicide’, stated the letter. The police said that they have received a complaint from the IIT-Madras regarding the letter.
Fathima had allegedly committed suicide by hanging in her hostel room in the IIT campus on the night of November 8.
Meanwhile, Fathima’s father Abdul Lathief, after meeting the probe team at the police commissioner’s office, told the media on Friday that he was satisfied with the investigation led by the city crime branch additional Commissioner of police C Eswaramoorthy.
But, Abdul Lathief alleged that initial probe by the Kotturpuram police had faults and noted that death of his daughter could also be murder. He also alleged that the local police had not collected the evidence properly and left the scene of incident unsecured. Abdul added that he had raised 13 questions about Fathima’s death and the subsequent probe with the police team.
