Tirumullaivoyal man hacked to death, revenge act suspected
A 32-year-old man was hacked to death by a four-member gang a few metres away from his house in Tirumullaivoyal on Sunday night.

The deceased S Pandian, a daily wage labourer, is one of the accused in the murder case of a man also named Pandian, a load man at the MGR Chennai Central, in June this year.
Pandian, who was released from prison on bail was asked to appear in Tiruverkadu police station, was recently moved back to Tirumullaivoyal, said police.
Around 7.30 pm, Pandian stepped out to go to a shop in his bike and stopped to talk to a neighbour in Athigam Nagar when a gang of four men reached the spot and started attacking with machetes.
Pandian who suffered injuries on his face and head collapsed and died on the spot.
Tirumullaivoyal police and senior officials rushed to the spot and conducted inquiries.
Four persons identified as P Sagadevan (31) of Kolapakkam, E Sakthivel (38) of Ayappakkam, S Manikandan (28) of Annanur, and A Manikandan (29) of Kolappakkam were arrested.
Police said Sagadevan is the main accused since it was his brother P Pandian who was killed by S Pandian and this murder could be a revenge.
