CHENNAI: An advertisement in a newspaper about a man's missing death certificate has the internet in uproar.

Rupin Sharma, an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer, posted a picture of a print advertisement on Twitter on Sunday in which a guy claimed to have misplaced his own death certificate, a record that is only created once someone passes away. The advertising stated, "I have lost my death certificate at Lumding Bazar (in Assam) dated 07/09/22." Additionally, it mentioned the lost certificate's registration and serial number.

The advertisement's image has gone viral on the internet after it was shared. Netizens questioned whether the man was pleading to God for assistance. Even in joke, some people inquired as to where they should contact after they locate the misplaced item.

"First time someone lost his death certificate," commented a user. "If found where the certificate has to be delivered Heaven or Hell,” commented another.

"Someone has lost his own death certificate. If anyone finds it, please return his death certificate to him. Please treat this as urgent - else the ghost will get angry," third added.
