Train No 06151 Dr MGR Chennai Central – Coimbatore superfast festival special will leave Dr MGR Chennai Central at 3:45 pm on Friday and reach Coimbatore at 11:45 pm, the same day (one service).

CHENNAI: Special express trains would be operated from Chennai to clear extra rush of passengers for Vinayagar Chaturthi and Onam, said a Southern Railway statement.

1. Train No 06151 Dr MGR Chennai Central – Coimbatore superfast festival special will leave Dr MGR Chennai Central at 3:45 pm on Friday (September 6) and reach Coimbatore at 11:45 pm, the same day (one service).

In the return direction, Train No 06152 Coimbatore – Dr MGR Chennai Central superfast festival special will leave Coimbatore at 11:30 pm on Sunday (September 8) and reach Dr MGR Chennai Central at 7:35 am, the next day (one service).

The coach composition will be of one AC first class cum AC two tier coach, two AC three tier coaches, 12- sleeper class coaches, three general second class coaches, and two luggage cum brake vans.

The trains will have stoppages at Arakkonam, Jolarpettai and Salem on both sides.

2. Train No 06035 Tambaram – Kochuveli weekly special will leave Tambaram at 7:30 am on September 6, 13, and 20 (on Fridays) and reach Kochuveli at 11:30 am, the following day (three services).                        

In the return direction, Train No 06036 Kochuveli – Tambaram weekly special will leave Kochuveli at 3:35 pm on September 7, 14, and 21 and reach Tambaram at 7:35 am, the next day (three services). Coach composition will be of 14 AC three tier economy coaches, two luggage cum brake vans.

3. Train No 06153 Tambaram – Kochuveli weekly special will leave Tambaram at 9:40 pm on September 8,15, and 22 (Sundays) and reach Kochuveli at 1:40 pm, the following day (three services).

In the return direction, Train No 06154 Kochuveli – Tambaram weekly special will leave Kochuveli at 3:35 pm on September 9, 16, and 23 (Mondays) and reach Tambaram at 7:35 am, the following day (three services).  

The coach composition will be of 14 AC three tier economy coaches, two luggage cum brake vans.

Both trains will have stoppages at Tiruchchirappalli, Madurai and Virudhunagar. Advance reservations for the trains are open, added the statement.
