Raj Sathya, secretary of the information and technology wing of the Amma faction of the AIADMK, confirmed that the social media accounts will be revived mostly after Monday. The activities on the site and the Twitter account were suspended following a complaint to the Election Commission by the rival faction led by O Panneerselvam.

“Though we submitted that the site was not updated, the EC refused to buy our explanation. So, we had to suspend all activities on the social media,” he said.

The last Tweet from the party’s account was on March 12 and thereafter no movement was recorded. Similarly, the website too hosts only pictures of party founder M G Ramachandran and late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa with the party name All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam. Even details like the history of the party, the milestones crossed and achievements made have also been withdrawn from the site. “There are around 1,100 pages. Soon, the party site will become active and all information will be available for the cadre, sympathisers, media and the public,” said Raj Sathya.

“We are already on the work as a 110-member team is working in the city and another 700 across the state to collate all information and data left out during the suspension period and upload the same on to the site,” the IT wing secretary added.
