Reversing lorry hits car, ex-corpn commissioner, three others injured

Kubendran, JD in the state Election Commission, along with his wife Sujatha (47) and daughter Akshaya (16), was returning home after attending a function in Bengaluru. Sarathkumar (27) of Tirupattur was at the wheel. When the vehicle was nearing Minnur close to Ambur, a lorry that was reversing hit the car. All the four inmates of the car sustained injuries. On information, Ambur taluk police rushed to the spot and sent the injured to the Ambur Government Hospital. Kubendran was later shifted to the Vellore Government Medical College Hospital. Ambur taluk police have registered a case and are investigating.
