No relief for Karti in tax case
The Madras High Court on Monday refused for an interim injunction in Karti Chidambaram’s urgent plea to stall the proceedings initiated by the Income Tax Department in connection with non-disclosure of Rs 6.38 crore before the special court for cases against MPs and MLAs.

As per the directions from the Chief Justice AP Sahi, the plea was heard before Justice M Sundar.
The judge before commencing the hearing said that some clarifications are required pertaining tothe case.
He also ordered the case be listed as per procedures through the regular list and refused further hearing of the case on Monday.
With no interim injunction granted in the plea, Karti Chidambaram and his wife are expected to appear before the special courton Tuesday.
The case pertains to alleged non-disclosure of income by Karti Chidambaram regarding lands sold near Muttukadu inKancheepuram.
