Ajith only match for Rajini, says Bhalaji

Actor Ajith Kumar, who earned the sobriquet of ‘ultimate star’ in the film industry, is the only equivalent of Rajinikanth, the superstar of Tamil cinema, but Vijay, a fellow actor, is not on a par with Rajinikanth, according to Minister for Dairy Development KT Rajenthra Bhalaji.

Recalling the recent raids conducted by sleuths attached to the Income Tax Department at the residence of actor Vijay in Chennai, reporters on Saturday queried the minister in Virudhunagar on whether such raids were politically targeted against Vijay, who’s trying to take a lead over Rajinikanth, to scuttle his growth in the film industry. But, the minister denied it saying such raids were not politically influenced.

It’s the duty of the Income Tax officials, who based on information, to conduct such raids. Even politicians from the ruling AIADMK also faced such raids. Further, he said both these lead Tamil film actors were bulls of ‘jallikattu’. While one actor was called as ‘Thala’ (head), the other one is ‘Malai’ (mountain). Meanwhile, the minister said Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami is all set to inaugurate the Seevalaperi combined drinking water scheme, which is aimed at benefitting people in Virudhunagar, Satur and Aruppukkottai, on March 1 at a cost of Rs 444 crore.
