The accused Rajendran, 52, from Kaveripattinam had joined the service by issuing forged Class 10, Class 12 and teacher training completion certificates. He joined the government service in 1999 at a primary school at Chokkanahalli village.

Then, Rajendran was shifted to a school in Kurubatti village and was last working in a primary school at Mittahallipudur in the same district. In all these years, the parents, teachers or education department staff never got suspicious of him, until one day, after one Madeshwaran from Kundalampatti sent a complaint to the Chief Minister’s grievance cell demanding an inquiry into Rajendran in 2019. The complainant blew the lid claiming that Rajendran had not even passed Class 10 and had come into service after furnishing false documents.

This complaint was forwarded to the Education Department officials in Krishnagiri for an inquiry. Detailed investigation confirmed the allegations that Rajendran had failed in Class 10 examinations and had produced fake educational certificates to join the service. It was also learnt that Rajendran had committed the fraud with the connivance of a local political party functionary.

Following this, Krishnagiri district Chief Education Officer Kalavathi lodged a complaint with the police against Rajendran with necessary documents as evidence seeking action. Police have launched a search for the fake teacher who is now on the run.
