Bharathiar University students protest seeking more security at hostels in Coimbatore on April 1st

Coimbatore: A fortnight after girl students of Bharathiar University in Coimbatore staged a protest against trespass of strangers into the hostel; the students claimed that intrusion of outsiders into the hostel premises still continues during night hours.

The university fixed CCTVs and police enhanced vigil. Yet, a stranger got into the hostel and undressed himself to wear the girls dress to wander around the premises on Sunday night. When some of the inmates noticed him and raised an alarm, the stranger managed to escape.
