Stalin said this verdict not just guarantees human rights but also the state government's rights.

Stalin then listed out questions asked by Justice Nageswara Rao, which he felt were important in demarcation of Governor's powers. He said, "Questions like 'Is the Governor entitled to have an opinion in this?', 'Why was it referred to the Centre' and 'Can a Governor take a call in a matter that has been decided by the State assembly?' are pivotal in upholding State government's rights enshrined under Article 161.
He also congratulated Arputhammal for her determined struggle to free her son out of prison.
