AMRL SEZ offers integrated industrial zones over 2,500 acres to spur manufacturing

The SEZ is ready to house a diverse set of industries – electronics, medical equipment, general engineering, auto ancillaries and components, solar and many more – and has the potential to generate employment in excess of 20,000.

 AMRL SEZ is strategically located and provides easy access to the Thoothukudi port and airport. The Thiruvananthapuram International Airport and the Madurai International Airport are in close proximity, a release said. A leading medical equipment manufacturer has signed a MoU to develop a medical equipment research and manufacturing unit over 117 acres. Global manufacturers from sectors like renewable energy, defence and toys have initiated discussions to set up facilities in AMRL SEZ as a part of their plan to relocate their operations from China to India. Indranil Dasgupta, CEO, Attivo, said “This is offering them a golden opportunity to relocate with ready-to-movein infra.” The SEZ will act as a catalyst for ‘Make in India’ initiative.
