Nayan’s decision to turn vegan just a promotional gimmick?

A few days ago, the team of Mukutthi Amman in which Nayanthara plays the lead, had announced that the entire cast and crew of the film would abstain from eating non-vegetarian food. Nayanthara too decided that she would turn vegan till she wraps up shooting for her portions in the film. The latest is that the actress, who is in the US, was seen relishing a turkey while observing Thanksgiving Day. 

The video went viral across social media and netizens yet again expressed their disappointment on Nayanthara’s attitude. Several mouse potatoes said that Nayanthara's gimmick of turning vegan for Mukutthi Amman was just a publicity stunt to attract crowds to theatres for the RJ Balaji’s debut directorial. We contacted a tinseltown source, who told us, “Nayanthara will begin fasting only after she begins her shoot for the film. She hasn’t started shooting for her portions yet and has a schedule of Netrikann to be completed. She will begin shooting for Mukutthi Amman only from January and will turn vegan from then onwards.” The actress, who is speculated to be the heroine in Ajith’s Valimai, is awaiting the release of Darbar in which she plays Rajinikanth’s love interest.
