Kichcha Sudeep confirmed for STR’s Maanadu

The film didn’t go on floors due to various issues and the makers, too claimed that STR was the reason for the delay. However, now, it looks like the issues have been sorted out and the film is all set to begin in early 2020. Producer of the film, Suresh Kamatchi, also took to his Twitter to announce details about the shooting schedule.

The latest we hear is that Kannada star Kichcha Sudeep has been roped in to play a pivotal role in the film. A source close to the team confirmed saying, “Venkat Prabhu met Sudeep during a shoot in Chennai and narrated to him the script. He was quite impressed with his character and immediately agreed to give bulk dates. The actor will be seen playing the role of a baddie in the film. An official announcement will be made by the end of this month.”

Kalyani Priyadarshan, who made her debut in Tamil with Sivakarthikeyan’s Hero, will be playing the female lead in the film.
