Shruti, Kajol come together for a short film

After staying away from the industry for almost two years, Shruti announced that she will be making a comeback with Vijay Sethupathi’s upcoming film, Laabam. Directed by Priyanka Banerjee, the film revolves around the life of nine oppressed women from different walks of life. Sources say that the shoot of the film is almost over and it also stars actors like Neena Kulkarni, Neha Dhupia, Yashaswini Dayama and Shivani Raghuvanshi in pivotal roles.

Shruti Haasan shared the first look poster of the film on her instagram page and wrote, “My first ever short film with these incredible women! Thankyou @electricapplese for making me a part of this ! Has truly been a pleasure #Devi”(sic) The actress is also working on a Telugu film titled Krack, which has Ravi Teja in thelead role.
