A few weeks ago, producer-actor Thiagarajan revealed that he has acquired the remake rights of Ayushmann Khurrana’s blockbuster Andhadhun. The film will have Prashanth reprising Ayushmann’s role. The actor for the first time has opened up about the film and told DT Next, “The pre-production work of the film is taking place in full swing. Mohan Raja is leaving no stone unturned for the project and has been putting his heart and soul into it.” There have also been reports that maestro Ilaiyaraja is on board to compose the music for the project. Prashanth said, “It’s too early to talk about it. An official announcement on who the music director will be made by the director himself.”
Prashanth added that he has been hitting the gym hard and has lost quite a few kilos for the role. “I have undergone a transformation and getting into a good shape now. Though, I need to lose more weight before the project starts rolling soon. The date of the film’s launch and other cast will be announced soon. We are currently focused on doing justice to the original and our version of Andhadhun will be special in its own way,” he concluded.
