Dhanush, Vetri to collaborate for fifth time

Fans of Dhanush have been awaiting a new movie announcement ahead of the actor’s birthday on July 28. An exclusive update is that Dhanush and Vetri Maaran are all set to join hands for a new film once again after Asuran. The project will be bankrolled by Elred Kumar of RS Infotainment. A tinseltown source told DT Next, “This will be Vetri Maaran’s next project officially. There were reports that he will be directing Vaadi Vaasal post lockdown. However, this film will go on floors before Vaadi Vaasal and will be a quick one. The film will be shot across Tamil Nadu and the National award-winning director is currently in the final stages of penning the script. This film will not be a sequel to Vada Chennai and is a fresh script.”

Earlier Vetri Maaran was supposed to direct Soori for the same production house. “The unit is said to have finalised locations for the Vetri Maaran-Soori project in a middle-eastern country. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the project was temporarily put on hold and will resume only when travel opens up,” added the source. Dhanush currently awaits the release of Jagame Thandhiram.
