Actors Suriya and Dulquer Salmaan offer condolences to Suresh Raina after a ‘horrific’ incident to his family

Actors Suriya and Dulquer Salmaan have conveyed their condelonces to Indian batsman Suresh Raina who lost his uncle and cousin following an attack by armed robbers.

The cricketer's relatives'residence was attacked by armed robbers in a Punjab town on August 19. He took to his official twitter handle on Tuesday and announced that his cousin succumbed to his injuries late Monday night and his aunt was critical in the hospital. His uncle had died on the spot after suffering fatal injuries during the assault.

Actor Suriya offered his condolences to Raina and his family. He also tagged the Chief Minister of Punjab Amarinder Singh and stated that the criminals should be summoned to justice.

Actor Dulquer Salmaan followed suit and replied to the cricketer's tweet by condoling with him for his loss and extending his prayers and strength. 

On the orders of Punjab Chief Minister, Amarinder Singh, special investigation team (SIT) has been set up to probe into the attack.

The vice-captain of the Chennai Super Kings, who was in UAE for the 13th edition of IPL  returned home following the incident.
