When Trisha’s fierce performance left the team speechless
The Kuttrapayirchi unit erupted in applause during a photoshoot for the film with the actress’ display of raw emotion
Chennai
Trisha Krishnan’s movie posters have always gone viral on the internet within a few minutes of its release. Posters of Trisha’s upcoming film Raangi is proof. Last year, another film titled Kuttrapayirchi was announced with Trisha in the lead role before it went into the cans due to production hurdles. The principal photography too took place in the city which wasn’t released by the makers. We recently got a glimpse of the poster recently in which Trisha outdid herself. The crew did a photoshoot of one of the high points of the film in which Trisha pulls off a belligerent look while about to bite an unclean platfrom with rage written all over her face. In order to get the emotion right, without a second thought, Trisha ended up biting the cement ledge.
The director of the film Vivek, who is currently working on Arun Vijay’s Boxer and Priyamani’s Quotation Gang told DT Next, “When I asked her, she smirked but agreed to do the shot. That photo which was supposedly the first look poster is also the defining moment in the movie, where she is beaten up by goons and asked to bite the pavement. She does it to keep her self respect intact.” Vivek went on to narrate the incident and said, “That showed her dedication to her work. G Venket Ram was the photographer and he leapt in joy saying, ‘We got it!’. We couldn’t resist applaud her for the way she worked to deliver the shot with passion,” Vivek said and added it was technically my first photoshoot as a director.
“Also, an unforgettable one. Have you ever seen an actor being applauded during a photoshoot of a film? Trisha managed to do it,” Vivek added with a smile. He revealed that the film will go on floors soon. “I hope Trisha would still want to be a part of the project when we resume. Such stories need to be told to people, ” he concluded.
