Jayam Ravi- Ahmed’s second collaboration titled Iraivan
A source in the know told DT Next that the film will go on floors in October.
Actor Jayam Ravi, who had collaborated with director Ahmed for Jana Gana Mana has signed another film with the director. The exclusive update we hear about their second collaboration is that the film has been titled Iraivan. A source in the know told DT Next that the film will go on floors in October. “Iraivan will be a commercial entertainer with an underlying message. The film will go on floors once the duo completes the shooting of their first film Jana Gana Mana that has been put on hold due to COVID-19. After completing a few sequences in foreign countries, Jayam Ravi will be busy promoting Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan in which he has played the titular role. So, Iraivan will go on floors post September.” An official announcement on this project will be made in the coming days. The film will also see the collaboration of Yuvan Shankar Raja with Jayam Ravi and Ahmed yet again after Jana Gana Mana.
Jayam Ravi is currently shooting round the clock for Rajesh’s Akilan that is most likely to skip theatrical release and premiere on Hotstar. However, there is no clarity on that front yet. The actor is also gearing up to shoot for his 29th film that will be directed by debutant Antony Bhagyaraj and produced by Sujatha of Home Movie Makers.
