'God or devil': VTK trailer promises to be a gritty gangster drama

CHENNAI: The makers of the much-awaited Silambarasan TR's gangster drama 'Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu' directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon have released the trailer of the film on Friday.

Releasing the trailer, the production house Vels Film International tweeted, "The much-awaited #VTKTrailer is OUT NOW 🔥 #VendhuThanindhathuKaadu. The trailer features GVM's voice-over where he says "Sometimes, speaking the truth is harder than narrating a story and this is a true-to-life story of a man" which shows us actor Simbu playing a youngster, who is in-evidently pulled into the gangster world. How he forms a gang and eventually becomes a don is what the film seems to be exploring. Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman's score elevates the trailer and the album is already loved by Rahman fans.

'Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu' marks the classic combo as AR Rahman, Gautham Vasudev Menon and STR are back again on screen. It also marks STR's fourth collaboration with GVM and is scripted by B Jeyamohan.

Apart from STR, the film also stars Siddhi Idnani, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Neeraj Madhav, Siddique, and Angelina Abraham. The film's cinematography is done by Siddhartha Nuni and Gautham Menon's frequent collaborator Antony is the editor of the film.
