Singer Bamba Bakya dies at 49
He has notably sung Simtaangaran, Ponni Nadhi and Pullinangal under Rahman.
CHENNAI: Renowned Kollywood playback singer Bamba Bakya has passed on Friday morning. He was 49.
His cause of death is yet to be ascertained, but reports are making rounds on social media that he had suffered from a cardiac arrest.
Known for his baritone, he has given out some superhit songs such as Pullinangal (2.0), Dingu Dongu (Sarvam Thaala Mayam), Simtaangaaran (Sarkar). His portion in the latest AR Rahman song Ponni Nadhi from Ponniyin Selvan 1 or PS 1 was widely appreciated.
