Soundarya Rajinikanth blessed with a baby boy; Shares pics

CHENNAI: Actor Rajinikanth's younger daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth on Sunday was blessed with a baby boy.

The director-producer took to her social media and shared the pictures. She wrote, "With gods abundant grace and our parent's blessings 🙏🏻😇Vishagan, Ved, and I are thrilled to welcome Ved’s little brother 💙💙💙 VEER RAJINIKANTH VANANGAMUDI today 11/9/22 #Veer #Blessed 😇🥰thank you to our amazing doctors @sumana_manohar Dr.Srividya Seshadri @SeshadriSuresh3🙏🏻." (sic)

Several celebrities, friends, fans and well-wishers have been congratulating the couple. Gitanjali Selvaraghavan, the wife of director Selvaraghavan, too was among those who congratulated Soundarya. She wrote, “Congratulations Mittu, Vishagan and Ved!!! Welcome to the world Veer!” (sic)

The director married actor-turned-businessman Vishagan Vanangamudi in 2019 and has a son named Ved Krishna. The director was earlier married to Ashwin Kumar, however, they both parted ways after being together for seven years.

Soundarya has previously directed Rajini's Kochadaiiyaan in 2014 and Dhanush's Velaiilla Pattadhari 2 in 2017. The talented artist had earlier worked as a graphic designer for films like Padayappa (1999), Baba (2002), Chandramukhi (2005), Sivakasi (2005), Majaa (2005), Chennai 600028 (2007), and Sivaji (2007) respectively.
