    CHENNAI: As the release of the most-awaited magnum opus 'Ponniyin Selvan-1' directed by Mani Ratnam is nearing, new stills from the film has been storming the internet. Fans united on the mico-blogging platform to trend hashtags like #PonniyinSelvan, #PS1, #Nandini and #Kundavai.

    The makers of the movie fuelled fans' interest by releasing a BTS video and a video featuring Trisha as Kundavai and Aishwarya Lekshmi as Poonguzhali.

    The film, called by the director as his dream project, features a host of top stars from Indian cinema, and music and songs from the film are already winning the hearts of netizens. AR Rahman is scoring the music for this epic historical and the cinematography by Ravi Varman. National Award-winning art director Thotta Tharani is in charge of production design while Mani Ratnam's trusted editor Sreekar Prasad is handling its cuts.
