Sathyaranaraya Rao along with his family members on Monday offered worship at the Big Temple in Thanjavur for the speedy recovery of the actor and the success of his upcoming flick Kabali . He said that he offered special pooja for Peruvudayar and Periyanayagi Amman at the Big Temple.
Rao refuted speculations about the health condition of Rajinikath. “He had gone to the US only for a regular check-up. He is healthy and will return home soon,” he said. Meanwhile, Rao hailed the making of Kabali and was optimistic that it would be a box office hit. “Like everyone I’m also waiting for the movie’s release on July 15,” he said.
When asked about the recent agitation of farmers about the superstar’s promise to donate Rs 1 crore for linking of rivers, Rao stressed that the actor had already deposited the fund in a separate account and would release when the process takes place. “Rajinikanth is keen on the welfare of the people of Tamil Nadu as they show their unconditional love for him,” he added.
