Snatcher beaten up by drunk men in Mylapore dies in hospital, 2 arrested
A man who was attacked by a couple of drunk men in Mylapore succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. The police have arrested the suspects for murder.

The deceased is yet to be identified and the police suspect that he could be a ragpicker from the platform near Mylapore MRTS station.
The accused C Yesuraj (29) of Mylapore and B Karthik (30) of Santhome werebooked for murder and remanded in judicial custody.
The incident happened on December 20 at 6.45 pm. The police said that the deceased, who was drunk, allegedly snatched Rs 200 from a beggar on the Marina and slapped him when the latter raised an alarm.
The suspects who were at the spot, and also drunk, chased the snatcher to Vedanta Desigar street and attacked him before fleeing. Passers-by who found the man lying unconscious rushed him to Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital, but he died without responding to treatment. The Mylapore police, who had registered a case about the incident, traced the suspects on Friday and arrested them. They are currently remanded in custody.
Two held for attacking man with knife
The Virugambakkam police have arrested two men for allegedly attacking a private firm employee.
The accused has been identified as 23-year-old R Premkumar and 22-year-old U Dinakaran of Perambur. They have been booked under four different sections of The Indian Penal Code and remanded injudicial custody.
The victim, 30-year-old S Arun Prasath, a resident of Saligramam has claimed in his complaint the men could have been sent by his business rival Manjulaof Adyar.
The incident happened on Thursday afternoon when Arun, an assistant manager at a private firm, was on his way to work. He was intercepted by the accused and was attacked with a knife.
