Take a 10 tour of Chennai on Mattu Pongal day

The single round trip service between 9 am and 6 pm is aimed at increasing the popularity of tourist destinations in the state among tourists. “TTDC will organise a special tour package for just Rs 10 per day on the day of ‘Mattu’ Pongal, January 16. The tour package will cover all important tourist destinations in the city,” said a release from TTDC. 

The tour package will start at 9 am on Thursday and will start with Island Grounds, followed by Anna Memorial, Vivekanandar House, Icehouse, Velankanni Church, Ashtalakshmi temple and Arupadai Murugan temple in Besant Nagar and will end at Children’s park in Guindy. TTDC will take tourists in TTDC buses and the tourists can alight and board any TTDC bus with the ticket they obtain. TTDC for the first time has announced Rs 10 tour package for Tiruchy city too. The package will cover tourist destinations such as Vekkali Amman Temple, Malaikottai Pillaiayr temple, Thiruvarangam Aranganathar temple, Butterfly park, Thiruvarangam Jambukeshwar temple, Samayapuram Mariamman Temple and Anna planetarium.
