Ajith warns of action on social media post with forged signature
Actor Ajith Kumar said he would take legal action against perpetrators who forged his signature and published a fake news that claimed that he would re-join social media and open official account.
Chennai
The letter dated March 6, duly ‘signed by’ Ajith, declared that the Tamil actor would re-join social media and would have an official account. The letter reportedly claimed that he took this decision due to requests from his fans. The letter understandably went viral on social media, triggering frenzy among his legion of fans.
However, Ajith’s legal counsel, Anand & Anand, denied this in a statement on his behalf on Saturday. “Our client has issued a public notice in the past, and has on repeated occasions maintained that he does not have any social media accounts, and that he does not have or support any official fan page on any stream of social media,” it stated. Ajith does not have any official social media account, nor does he intend to join any social media platform, the statement clarified, adding that he does not endorse or support any fan page or group on any social media stream. The lawyers also warned that necessary and appropriate legal action would be taken to the fullest extent possible against the perpetrator who issued the false notice and forged Ajith’s signature.
Popularly known as ‘Thala’ among fans, Ajith Kumar maintains a low profile and doesn’t even attend film events. His films in 2019, Viswasam and Ner Konda Paaravai were blockbusters. The actor is currently working on H Vinoth’s Valimai, produced by Boney Kapoor.
