According to sources, a summon was issued asking the former officials, including a former Managing Director and joint director, to appear on Friday. Four days ago, the sleuths had searched Ganesan’s house in city for more than seven hours and also raided nine locations in Madurai and Karur.
The case is related to the alleged collection of money from aspirants after promising them jobs in the Transport Department during 2014-15 when Senthil Balaji was the transport minister in the late chief minister J Jayalalithaa’s cabinet. He later shifted loyalty to the DMK, and is its MLA from Aruvakurichi.
CCB started reinvestigation in November following Madras High Court order, and had conducted raids, including at Senthil Balaji’s house in Mandaveli. The case was initially registered in 2015 based on the complaint which alleged that money was collected from 81 persons promising jobs in the Transport Department.
