The daily hike in the prices of petrol, diesel and LPG has become an added burden on the public who are slowly recovering from the financial impact created by the Covid-19, an MNM release said, adding that it should be strongly opposed. MNM will be holding a massive demonstration at Valluvar Kottam on Saturday.
The actor’s party said that the State government, on its part, hiked the property tax after promising in its election manifesto that it would not upwardly revise the property tax until the economy recovers from the Covid impact.
“Those who are condemning the petrol and diesel price hike are not opposing the property tax increase. MNM is the only party that stands with the common people and condemns both the fuel price and property tax hikes,” it said
