History sheeter held on attempt murder charges in Choolai
Two persons- T Mani (29) and G Santhosh Kumar (40) were arrested by Pulianthope police in connection with the knife attack.
CHENNAI: Chennai police on Thursday arrested a 36-year-old history sheeter on attempt to murder charges for attacking a man with a knife in Choolai after picking up an argument with him on August 28.
On August 28, around 11 pm, G Suresh of Angalamman Koil street in Choolai was walking back home when he was intercepted by a trio.
They picked up an argument with him asking him to give the food he got from the hotel and some money for their expenses. When Suresh refused, they attacked him with a knife and fled the scene.
Suresh called his family members over phone and they reached the scene and admitted him to a hospital.
Two persons- T Mani (29) and G Santhosh Kumar (40) were arrested by Pulianthope police in connection with the knife attack.
On Thursday, police arrested the absconding accused, L Ganesh (36) alias Jangili Ganesh of Choolai.
He was produced before a magistrate and remanded in judicial custody.
Police said that Ganesh has 33 cases against him, including three murder cases and five attempt to murder cases.
