Traffic diversions near Mylapore, Adyar on Sunday: Check details

CHENNAI: Chennai Police have announced traffic diversions near Mylapore and Adyar on Sunday (Oct 9) to facilitate a 5km/10km run organised by a NGO. The run starts from Dr MGR Janaki College of Arts and Science from 5 am and expected to finish by 8 am.

Accordingly, between 5 am and 8 am, vehicles coming from Light House towards Santhome High road and from Mandavleli junction to South Canal Bank Road towards Adyar are not allowed from South Canal Bank Road junction to Thiru Vi ka Bridge and should instead enter on the right side inner lane.

Barricades and cones will be put to facilitate the motorists.

Vehicles proceeding from Greenways Road and RK Mutt Road via Broad Castle Road towards Adyar are prohibited from passing via Music College Junction, DGS Dinakaran Road, to Thiru Vi ka Bridge and instead should enter on the right side inner lane.

All incoming vehicles coming from Thiru Vi ka Bridge and intending to go towards 3rd avenue and 2nd Avenue will be diverted at ML Park – left- LB Road- Sastri nagar 1st Avenue to reach their destination.

All buses (including MTC Buses) coming from Besant Nagar Bus depot will be diverted at Sastri Nagar 1st Avenue - Besant Nagar 2nd Avenue Junction – Right – Sastri nagar 1st Avenue- Besant Nagar 2nd Avenue- 7th Avenue Junction right- MG Road – LB Road Junction to reach their destination.
