One-year-old girl dies after whistle gets stuck on throat
As usual on Wednesday, Kayalvizhi was playing at home with her 3-year-old brother, Darsan.
CHENNAI: A one-year-old girl was choked to death after a whistle she was playing got stuck on her throat in Poonamalee. The deceased, Kayalvizhi, was the second child of Anand Raj -Vanaja couple residing at Padmavathy nagar in Poonamalee. Anand Raj is a vegetable vendor.
As usual on Wednesday, Kayalvizhi was playing at home with her 3-year-old brother, Darsan.
In between this, the parents noticed Kayalvizhi lying unconscious on the floor.
Shocked over this, they took her and tapped on her back when the whistle came out of her mouth.
Though they took her to a private hospital, the medical team there said that the girl was dead on arrival. Based on information from the hospital, Poonamalee police team had secured the body of the girl and sent it for autopsy.
