Sewage treatment plant in Kodungaiyur to shut for 2 days
The water manager has requested the residents to contact engineers in Tondiarpet if sewage overflow occurs in manholes. Sewage will be removed using machines.
CHENNAI: Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (Metrowater) has decided to shut the operation of the sewage treatment plant in Kodungaiyur from October 20 to October 22.
As per a press release, maintenance works will be carried out at the sewage treatment plant from 6am on October 20 to 11pm on October 22. Due to this, the sewage pumping station in Kannadasan Nagar will not function between 6am and 11pm on Thursday and pumping station in Kadumbadi Amman Nagar will not function between 6am and 11pm on Friday. Sewage treatment plant in Muthamizh Nagar will not function between 6am and 11pm on Saturday.
