    MUMBAI: Durga Puja is set to begin on October 1 all over the country. Bollywood has made several Hindi films based on Bengali culture and people. The creators of the film paid close attention to how the characters dressed. Check out some of the best-dressed Bengali characters in Bollywood films.

    Actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s gorgeous looks and outfits in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Devdas’ won everyone’s heart. Aishwarya received a lot of appreciation for her beautiful looks in the film. In the film, her character was married to a wealthy landlord, so she had to look the part.

    Actor Tripti Dimri portrayed the role of a Bengali woman in ‘Bulbbul’ and looked drop-dead gorgeous in ethnic attires in the film. She accessorised her look with heavy gold jewellery, which gave her a majestic appearance.

    In her debut film ‘Parineeta’, Vidya Balan played the role of a beautiful Bengali woman. Her elegant look in Indian attires made her look like a true Bong beauty. Along with this, she looked drop-dead gorgeous in a red and white saree in the thriller film ‘Kahani’ in which she portrayed the role of a pregnant Bengali woman.

    In the film 'Lootera', Sonakshi Sinha wore basic, monochrome sarees with patterned blouses throughout the film. Sinha's avatar radiated innocence with her lovely curls and no-made makeup appearance. The ‘Dabangg’ actor played the role of a landlord's daughter who falls in love with a con man.

    Deepika looked like a true Bengali beauty in director Sujit Sircar’s ‘Piku’. Although the actor didn’t dress up like in traditional Bengali attires in the film, her beautiful look in ethnic attires with kohl-rimmed eyes and bindis made us fall in love with her character.
