'Master will be celebrated whenever it releases': Director Lokesh Kanagaraj
Talking about the film's genre, Lokesh said 'Master' would be an action-entertainer that is high on action and stunts.

Master would've been running over 15 days now if not for the uneventful coronavirus pandemic.
The virus has left the fans high and dry. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj somewhat assuaged them in his Instagram conversation with Kannada film industry's actor/writer MG Srinivas.
The host Srinivas planned an hour-long Instagram workshop for aspiring filmmakers and today's feature was 'Master' director Lokesh Kanagaraj.
The Kaithi helmer promised Thalapathy Vijay's fans 'Master would be a celebration whenever it releases' to a question that was well put by host Srinivas to round-off the conversation.
Talking about the Master's genre, Lokesh said the film would be an action-entertainer that is high on action and stunts. He also shared how comfortable Vijay made him feel, that Lokesh who called the Bigil-actor 'sir' switched to calling him 'anna' after the first schedule.Â
His advice for budding filmmakers was not to heed to any advice as things workout in a unique way for everyone.Â
About scripting, he said it should be of prime focus and anything it demands should be there and things it doesn't require should be dispassionately avoided.
Cinematography is something a director could handle laid back if the cinematographer and director is on the same page with a clear communication, opined Lokesh Kanagaraj.Â
He quipped about his Maanagaram and Kaithi experiences recalling incidents of his friends going into Maanagaram's screenplay and conversations with actor Karthi about the freshness of the film sans songs and heroine pioneered from veteran Kamal Haasan's (someone Lokesh looks up to as a revolutionary in cinema) song-less Kuruthi Punal.
The three-film old director was guarded when asked about Master's trailer and his next one rumoured to be starring Superstar Rajinikanth. M G Srinivas went on with the Rajinikanth assumption, to which Lokesh clearly said it was too early to be answered as he is completely focused on Master's post production work which has 20-30 days left.
Master's trailer will be released only when the release date is made clear, said Lokesh. He underlined this statement with the priority being to stay safe and tide through the pandemic crisis and save cinema celebrations once the world successfully wards-off Coronavirus.
