Kolkata man receives Bhagavad Gita after ordering Communist Manifesto on Amazon
In a bizarre case of mis-matched product delivery, online shopping giant Amazon Inc delivered a copy of Bhagavad Gita to a person who had ordered The Communist Manifesto.
Chennai
The buyer took to the social media platform Facebook to relate the confounding online shopping experience.Â
Sutirtha Das from Kolkata was surprised when he found that Amazon had sent him a totally different product than what he had ordered. Although the invoice mentioned Karl Marx's The Communist Manifesto, all he got was an abridged version of Bhagavad Gita.
He also shared a post.
"After I placed an order for the Communist Manifesto, I received a message that the booking has been confirmed. Later, when I was in office, I was notified that the ordered book has been delivered. When I went home, I found out that my 'Communist Manifesto' has become an English copy of 'Bhagavad Gita'," Sutirtha wrote.
As one would imagine, comments flooded the Facebook post ranging from politics, consumer complaints to memes.Â
