'Friends' invite man for a party, kill him in Pallikaranai
On Sunday night Prasanth received a phone call and soon he left the house on the bike and did not return for a long time.

CHENNAI: Police arrested five men who murdered their friend after inviting him for a party near Pallikaranai on Monday.
The deceased was Prasanth (28) of Balaji Nagar in Pallikaranai. Police said Prasanth was working in a car factory in Chennai but during the lockdown, he lost his job and after that, he couldn't find a job anywhere.
However, Prasanth's father Raji who is an auto driver used to give money to Prasanth every day and he also presented his son with a sports bike.
After that Prasanth started to meet new friends and they used to consume liquor regularly. On Sunday night Prasanth received a phone call and soon he left the house on the bike and did not return for a long time.
Later at midnight, his parents were informed that Prasanth was found lying on the road with cut injuries in Pallikaranai and he was admitted in the private hospital in the locality.
However, on Monday morning Prasanth died without responding to treatments and the Pallikaranai police registered a case and during the investigation found that Prasath had fought with his friends six months back.
On Sunday night the friends decided to take revenge on Prasanth and invited him to a party and at that time they attacked him using knives and escaped from the spot. The Pallikaranai police arrested his friends Sarathkumar, Imman, Shakil, and two others and further investigation is on.
