RAJAMAHENDRAVARAM: The Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan on Monday said that both parties have come together only for the safety and security of the people of the State and "dethroning the atrocious government" of YSRCP is the common agenda of both the parties.
Flanked by the TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, the Jana Sena chief addressed the media here after the coordination committees of both the TDP and the Jana Sena concluded.
Pawan Kalyan announced that both parties will fight the coming polls after formulating a joint strategy and an action plan. Maintaining that the Jana Sena-TDP combine is a vaccine to eliminate the YSRCP virus which has been haunting the State, Pawan Kalyan said that both parties have come together keeping in view the welfare of the State and security of the people.
"There is an immediate need to dethrone this Government as almost all sections are being subjected to various kinds of harassment," Kalyan said. Stating that he has already made it clear that he will not allow the anti-incumbency vote to get divided, Kalyan said that the progress of the State is his highest priority. "I supported the TDP in 2014 as I wanted an experienced leader to take the State much forward. I am not against the YSRCP but I am now strongly opposing it because of its wicked policies," he added.
The ruling party has promised total prohibition in the State but now resorting to selling of illicit liquor, he said and felt that the Jana Sena-TDP combine is the only solution to see to it that this party is out of power, Pawan Kalyan said.
The Jana Sena chief strongly believes that the TDP supremo and former chief minister, Chandrababu Naidu, is illegally sent to jail and the ruling party is managing on technical grounds to see to it that he does not get bail.
"We met here only to express our solidarity with Chandrababu," he said, adding that the meeting discussed in detail the combined manifesto, as to how to move forward and other issues. "We will soon declare the combined action plan on how to form a strong government which will work for the welfare of the people of the State," Pawan Kalyan said. Expressing confidence that the TDP-Jana Sena combine will certainly form the next government as the combine will win the coming Assembly elections, the TDP national general secretary, Nara Lokesh, said that there will not be any kind of conflict between both parties.
Both parties will resolve amicably any problems are there at the grassroots level. "I am confident that there will not be any kind of issues between the TDP and the Jana Sena and both parties will work in close coordination to bring the combine to power," Lokesh added. Lokesh, however, said that the next meeting of the TDP and Jana Sena will discuss the strategies and action plan on how to move forward. Holding the meeting on an auspicious day like Vijaya Dasami sends strong positive waves in the State and it will certainly do some favour to the State, he said.
"Pawan Kalyan has extended unconditional support to the TDP in the 2014 elections as the newly-formed Andhra Pradesh was badly in need of an efficient leader," Lokesh said and stated that both the parties have decided to join hands only for the welfare of the State. The YSRCP has done great injustice to all sections in these four-and-half years, Lokesh said, adding that the State is in the third position in the country in farmers' suicides. TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh on Monday chaired the Joint Action Committee meeting in Rajahmundry.
